Job Summary
As an Account Executive in the short-term department, you will be answerable to the Operations Manager. Your main objectives will be to negotiate with clients and close contracts, attend to clients’ needs and develop relationships, acquire more clients through prospecting and canvassing, and assist new clients through any processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse market data and customer feedback to identify emerging opportunities or areas for growth.
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction and identify upsell or cross sell opportunities.
- Identify and target potential clients in the financial services and brokerage industry.
- Respond promptly to clients’ emails, enquiries and requests for information.
- Perform regular check-in calls or meetings with clients to review project progress, address concerns, and gather feedback.
- Develop and preserve a solid rapport with both current and potential clients.
- Assist clients by becoming a trusted advisor who comprehends their insurance requirements and offers solutions accordingly.
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, referrals, and digital channels.
- Promote the company’s brokerage services to meet or surpass sales targets.
- Create and implement customised sales presentations to turn prospects into clients.
- Provide insights on competitors’ actions and offer creative solutions to maintain market leadership.
- Always ensure compliance on new and existing clients.
- Create sales reports, predictions, and client feedback regularly.
- Create systems for interacting with and receiving feedback from clients.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Analytical skills with high aptitude for accuracy in mathematical calculations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interpret abstract information.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Excellent time management
- Must be a good team player.
- Must handle concerns and negotiate with clients to maintain good relationships.
- Must be able to manage and understand how to keep projects moving.
- Must be able to prospect for new clients and sell services to them while continuing the sales process and servicing existing clients.
Qualification and Experience:
- 3-year Diploma in insurance and/or B.Com in Insurance or other related degree.
- Associate or fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute or equivalent professional insurance qualification is essential.
- 3 years working experience in corporates, commercial and personal lines insurance products.
- Driver’s licence (manual) and a minimum 2 years regular driving experience.
